Implementation period: 2019-07-15 - 2019-10-19
Division: Division of Biogenic Raw Materials
Title of the project: Towards Circular Economy in wastewater sector: Knowledge transfer and identification of the recovery potential for Phosphorus in Poland (CEPhosPOL)
The main goal of the project is conduct the research works focused on the identification of the recovery potential for phosphorus (P) in Poland and development of the sustainable model of the phosphorus management, based on the circular economy (CE) assumptions.
The project is implemented under the Mieczysław Bekker programme for young researchers (contract no. PPN/BEK/2018/1/00155/U/00001), financed by the National Academic Exchange Agency (NAWA). Dr Marzena Smol from the Division of Biogenic Raw Materials is a scholarship holder of the first edition of the Bekker programme, and she will do an internship in the German Federal Institute for Materials Research and Testing (Bundesanstalt für Materialforschung und –prüfung – BAM) in Berlin, under the surervision of dr. eng. Christian Adam.
The goal of the Mieczysław Bekker programme is to support scientists and academic teachers employed at Polish universities and scientific units in pursuit of scientific excellence by enabling them to complete a postdoctoral internship, conduct scientific research or acquire materials for scientific work in renowned foreign centers around the world.
