The main objective of the project was to support the management, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and control of the National Cohesion Strategy (NCS) through an assessment of the development and modernization of the technical and social infrastructure of the Polish energy sector, and its impact on the natural environment in the years 2007-2011. The project: “Evaluation of the energy sector in Poland” was funded within the framework of the VI Edition of the competition “European funds at the level of the National Cohesion Strategy” organized by the Ministry of Regional Development, the Department of Structural Policy Coordination. In particular, the aim of the IVth edition of the competition was to assess the selected areas of the energy sector in Poland. Our staff has been involved in the diagnosis of the situation of the energy sector with the use of LCA (Life-cycle assessment).
