Panel Discussion on the Role of Women in Scientific Research – in collaboration with the DeliSoil project

Panel Discussion on the Role of Women in Scientific Research – in collaboration with the DeliSoil project

As part of the 8th edition of the “Become a Researcher!” (“Zostań Badaczką!”) conference, a panel discussion titled “Women in Science: Experiences, Challenges, and the Importance of the Gender Dimension in Research” will be held, organized in collaboration with the DeliSoil project.

The panel will focus on the experiences of women in science, opportunities for developing a research career, and the challenges associated with working in academic and research environments. A key topic will be the gender dimension in research—defined as the analysis of how biological sex, as well as social and cultural factors, influence the formulation of research questions, the selection of methodologies, data collection, the interpretation of results, and the practical application of findings.

Participants will also discuss the importance of diversity within research teams, the role of mentorship, the visibility of female experts, and the creation of a more open and supportive scientific environment. Through the collaboration with the DeliSoil project, the discussion will be contextualized within research on the circular economy and sustainable development. The project itself promotes initiatives that support equality, access to knowledge and development opportunities, and the integration of diverse perspectives into research and communication.
