The EKO-BIONOM project is focused on the fifth thematic area supported under the GEKON Program. The main axis of the project and its genesis is the problem of “zero” recovery of waste and by-products of the combustion of biomass in Polish power plants and inefficient use of other waste from the energy use of biomass, i.e. digestate from biomass gasification.
The Gekon programme – Ecological Concepts Generator is the idea of stimulating the innovativeness of the Polish economy and offering the market a comprehensive and modern program aimed at supporting the development and implementation of technologies in the area of eco-innovation. The program is a joint initiative of the National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management (NFEP&WM) and the National Centre for Research and Development (NCBR).
