Implementation period: 2016-08-01 - 2017-06-30
Type: International
Division: Division of Renewable Energy Sources
The main objective of the project was the transfer of knowledge, technologies and best practices between Poland and Iceland in the field of the use of renewable energy sources (RES) in heating (geothermal heating networks). It was also important to establish cooperation between Polish and Icelandic entities on the implementation of investments in geothermal networks in Poland using modern solutions and technologies used in Iceland. As part of the project, study visits, during which the operation of geothermal installations was audited in order to determine the best practices in this area and the possibilities of practical use of certain technologies, took place. The project included conferences on the popularization of the obtained results. Our Institute was one of the project leaders.
