The aim of the project was the identification and development of mechanisms to overcome barriers to internationalization of small and medium-sized enterprises and facilitating the access to financing of this sector. The DIFASS project (Development of Interregional Financial Assistance to SMEs) was based on several activities related to the area of communication, selection of analysis tools and data sources, assessment of the conditions of operation of the small and medium-sized enterprises, the possibility of transferring good practices and their pilot implementation, and the monitoring and evaluation of the implementation process. The project implementation was accompanied by seminars and conferences with experts. The DIFASS project was aimed at facilitating the access to financing of SMEs through the exchange of innovative business support measures. 26 partners from different regions of the European Union, including our Institute, worked together in order to support the transfer of knowledge and innovation between small and medium-sized enterprises.
