The aim of the project was to raise the qualifications of the employees of the local government units, municipal waste management plants, municipal enterprises, and other entities interested in the functioning of the new the system of waste management, in the course of a series of trainings. The choice of subject matter was dictated, inter alia, by the adoption of the Act amending the existing Act on maintaining cleanliness and order in municipalities, i.e. the supervision over municipal waste management, including the separate municipal waste collection and the annual analysis of the state of municipal waste economy, is now within the competence of municipalities. The Institute was one of the main participants in the project.
