Improving the energy efficiency of geothermal energy utilisation by adjusting the user characteristics (User4GeoEnergy)

Start of the User4GeoEnergy project funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway through the EEA and Norway Grants Fund for Regional Cooperation

Project: Improving the energy efficiency of geothermal energy utilisation by adjusting the user characteristics, acronym User4GeoEnergy, registration number 2018-1-0502

The project will be implemented in 2020-2023 by a consortium:

Mineral and Energy Economy Research Institute PAS, Poland – Project Leader

Slovgeoterm a.s., Slovakia – Project Partner

InnoGeo Research and Service Nonprofit Ltd, Hungary – Project Partner

National Energy Authority, Iceland – Project Partner

NORCE Norwegian Research Centre AS, Norway – Project Partner

The project User4GeoEnergy is focused on the role of heat consumers in systems for the direct utilisation of geothermal energy. The project is aimed at increasing energy efficiency, reducing air pollution caused by emissions from the use of fossil fuels in peaking units and the consortium of geothermal resources.
